SBC Radio was subject to a break in over the christmas period resulting in the main window of the front of the station becoming cracked and so for everyone's safety we have closed the station until further notice.

The window was not able to be insured as it was cracked when we moved in.

Birmingham City Council , our landlord have refused to help.

We are also being told by Be Birmingham that they wish to claw back nearly £4000 pounds of overpayment made on the Future jobs fund.

We are aware they we are not the only organisation affected by this claw back.

We are still investigating the causes which we suspect is an administrative error by Be Birmingham .

If your organisation has been affected please get in touch.

As we are unable to trade we are not able to earn and therefore it is with regret that we have been forced to close the studio and the Green Room.

A big thankyou to everyone who has volunteered in the past 4 years we will keep you informed as and when we have more news.

Everyone has a few items of old clothing they just don't wear anymore so here at SBC Radio we're giving you the oppurtunity to free up that wardrobe space AND feel good about donating them to a worthy cause!

The kind folks at Rag Bag (www.rag-bag.co.uk) have given us the opportunity to help them raise awareness of textile recycling simply by taking unwanted clothes off our members, staff, presenters and the community at large.

If you have any unwanted items kicking around simply drop them down to the SBCRadio studios and we'll take them off your hands. Then you can carry on with your day with a warm feeling as your good deed for the day has been done!

For more information on the scheme or to ask any questions about what you want to donate either look at the ragbag website (www.rag-bag.co.uk) or drop us an e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
